FINAL DESIGN
REFLECTION
In this module, I learned knowledge related to design principles, understood what Gestalt theory is, understood the definition of design principles and how to use them in practice, learned to analyze the design principles contained in each work, and applied the learned things from shallow to deep into my design works and daily appreciation. I have learned about many different styles of poster design and found the design style I want to learn in the future. I want to use different materials to create my own style. We need to give full play to our imagination and appreciate and improve our aesthetics. At the same time, I also learned what the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are, which everyone and all countries in the world should understand and publicize. Starting from small things, protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility.
What did l enjoy the most?
I like to find my favorite poster design on the Internet and analyze its style and material composition. In this process, I can learn many different designers' imaginative design ideas, which make me feel magical and interesting. These various poster designs improve my aesthetic and composition ability, enrich my spiritual world and expand my way of thinking. It gave me a lot of inspiration. When I applied these inspirations to my design, I think I learned a lot, which gave me a great sense of accomplishment. Although the act of modifying different materials over and over again to make this poster more coordinated and complete gave me a headache feeling and racking my brain, I think it also improved me.
What did l not enjoy the most?
As for me, I have never studied art, so my composition, aesthetics and drawing ability are not very professional, which leads to the process of my poster design is not very smooth, I need to improve it over and over again, this process is boring and headache, but when I see my finished product, I think I have made progress, which is very valuable. It is also difficult to find recommended books. There are no electronic versions of books about style introduction and poster design on the Internet, only physical books. So I found a book and wrote its title and author on my blog.
What have l learnt about myself through this module?
Through this module, I learned to listen to the opinions of others and appreciate a variety of poster designs, which can improve my aesthetic and painting ability. I also understood that I should use more skills to make my design play to my strengths and avoid my weaknesses, and I should be better at expressing my ideas and thinking process, which is conducive to communicating with teachers and classmates.
What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
I have more patience and confidence in learning design, and my aesthetic and drawing ability have been improved to a certain extent, and I have also learned the right ways to improve my shortcomings. What remains unchanged is my determination to learn media design and my yearning for a better self.
What could be improved in this module?
In my opinion, sometimes when designing our own works, we may get a little aesthetic fatigue, so I think we can set up a group or make anonymous comments for other teachers or students to appreciate our own works, so as to get more opinions and make our works more perfect. Teachers can also lead students to appreciate different posters or illustrations to improve students' aesthetic appreciation and drawing ability.
