REFLECTION
This semester's "Video and Sound Production" course has been an incredible journey for me. I learned a wealth of knowledge that not only broadened my understanding, but also deepened my passion for the field, making it by far my favorite subject.
From a very young age, I was fascinated by stop-motion animation and watched a lot of movies like Box Ghost, Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Zombie Bride. These films fascinate me with their unique storytelling and meticulous craftsmanship. In this course, I finally had the opportunity to learn how to make stop-motion animation myself. The experience was both exhilarating and satisfying.
In addition to stop-motion animation, I also acquired valuable skills in video editing and sound production. We delved into Adobe Premiere Pro, where I learned how to cut, trim, and apply transitions to create smooth, professional videos. We also explored color correction, where I understood the importance of achieving a consistent visual style through techniques such as adjusting white balance, exposure, and saturation. In addition, I also learned some sound editing skills, by adding sound effects, mastering audio and other techniques to improve the overall quality.
A large part of my learning experience was guided by our teacher, Mr. Martin. His patient and meticulous teaching style helped me and my classmates grasp complex concepts. He often explains complex details to us in class, making sure we understand them thoroughly. His help helped us avoid potential pitfalls in our assignments and deepen our understanding of the subject.
All in all, I have gained a lot this term. Practical experience combined with theoretical knowledge has given me a solid foundation in video and sound production. I am grateful for the opportunity to explore this creative area and excited to continue learning and applying these skills in future projects.
